Support for clean-up, food pantries and counseling will also be forthcoming. Similar support is being made available to dioceses in Missouri, Mississippi and Louisiana as need develops. Donations can be made online or by mail using the form on the back of todayÕs bulletin or on the table near coffee hour.

Prayer Shawl Ministry Meeting, Third Saturdays
The Prayer Shawl ministry has decided to meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the church. Knitting, crocheting, quilting are all ways to create a prayer shawl. Some people work between meetings, some don't. Participation is not limited to St. Edmund's people. If you know someone who might enjoy this group, feel free to invite them to attend. If you are interested but this time doesn't work for you, please let Katherine Henwood know of your interest. Call her at (650) 359-1719 or email oakenhead@att.net
No Lids, Please
Please remove the lids from all bottles before you bring them for the cash re-cycling program at St. Edmund's. Thanks!
Scriptures Study Group Takes Up Exodus
The Friday morning Scriptures study group has (finally!) completed its study of Genesis. We decided that, having gotten Abraham's clan down into Egypt, we ought to get them back to the promised land. Consequently, our next piece of Scripture study will be Exodus. Please join us in the library at 10 a.m. on Friday for tea, prayer, study and conversation. We usually end around 11:30 a.m.
Housing resources in San Mateo County
Do you have an extra room to rent out? HIP Housing, a non-profit organization with 36 years of housing experience, is reaching out to the community to promote its home sharing program.
In tough economic times with rising housing, utility, gas and other expenses, home sharing helps to reduce costs and to save money. Two types of arrangements are facilitated: straight rent exchange and service exchange which involves helping with cooking, cleaning, companionship and other basic services in lieu of or for reduced rent.
All clients are interviewed by experienced staff. They also interview each other and make their own decisions about selecting housemates. Resources on how to interview clients, Living Together Agreements, follow-up support and mediation are also available through this service.
For more information contact: Laura Fanucchi, Director of Programs at (650) 348-6660 x303 or email her at lfanucchi@hiphousing.org.
